Julia is a quantitative ecology consultant and university professor, with more than twenty years spent in applied research and higher education. She started TACIT to dedicate part of her time to local businesses: the shops, practices, and nonprofits that big software companies ignore. Her belief is simple. Modern tools, including practical AI where it genuinely helps, should not only belong to big companies. And it matters where the money goes: a dollar kept by a local business gets spent again in the neighborhood, while a dollar sent to a distant platform leaves for good.
